As information about COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to develop here in the United States and worldwide, we wanted to provide a resource to keep you up to date of our policies and procedures at this time.
We will continue to follow the guidance of public health officials, CDC, and World Health Organization to look out for the health of our patients and staff. The one consistent message coming from all public health groups is the need to take the standard precautions in public that one would take to prevent the transmission of the flu, and that is a message that will be posted throughout the office. In summary:
Stay home when you are sick.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
Wash hands with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds as necessary.
PBS Policy
With the continuation of COVID-19, we would like to let patients know what PBS's COVID-19 preventative protocol for in-person sessions are noted below.
**Please reach out to the front desk if Telehealth sessions are continued to be required due to medical or other need.
Precautionary Measures
Social distancing of 6 feet or more will be enforced at all times within the practice.
Masks are still required
We ask that you limit the amount of people in the waiting room to SIX people or less
Sanitizer will be placed throughout the practice, and inside each provider's offices, for you to use
Providers will be wiping down surfaces between each session so that the space is completely disinfected before they bring you into their office
Steps To Be Taken When You Arrive
1) Upon arrival at the practice you will have a mandatory temperature check before entering.
2) After your temperature is checked, you will be asked a brief series of questions on recent possible exposures, or symptoms related, to COVID-19.
3) If you have an elevated temperature, or if you answer YES to any of the questions regarding any symptoms, we will ask that you return to your car, or someplace safe, and have your session virtually.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding while we continue to work together to stay safe and healthy!
