Dietitian/Nutritionist

Requirements: A Masters Degree in Nutritional Sciences, Dietetics, or related field and registration as a Dietitian by the American Dietetics Association. At least 2 years of experience working with eating disorders or mental health populations required. Work from a non-diet approach emphasizing intuitive eating, mindful eating, and health-at-every-size perspective. Individualize nutrition counseling and goal-setting to patients' chief complaints and level of readiness. Manage case load of 25 clients per week. Conduct intake assessments for patients with eating disorders as a primary diagnosis and help with treatment planning along with the treatment team. Coordinate care with patients' therapists and physicians. Evaluate and recommend lab work to assess medical stability. Evaluate growth charts and weight history in order to estimate a patient's "biologically appropriate weight." Help communicate and facilitate to higher level of care if appropriate/necessary. Knowledge of family-based treatment from adolescents with eating disorders or willingness to obtain further training in this area. Knowledge of evidence-based treatments of eating disorders or willingness to obtain further training in this area. Present patient progress or make requests for help in weekly team meetings. Maintain nonjudgmental stance toward clients and incorporate Motivational Interviewing and concepts from CBT and DBT as appropriate. Benefits are offered and salary is commensurate with experience. 

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), License Professional Counselor (LPC), or Master's level Practitioner

Requirements: LCSW's will conduct individual, group, family, and group/skills classes. Applicants should have ample experience treating eating, anxiety/OCD, mood, and personality disorders (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder). The position is ideal for applicants with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CBT, exposure-based techniques, and DBT used int he treatment of anxiety, eating, and personality disorders. Applicants would have demonstrated experience being part of an adherent DBT treatment team which includes individual therapy, skills class, phone coaching, and consultation teams. Please identify your ability to work with child, adolescent, or adult populations. 

Licensed Psychologist

Requirements: Psychologists will conduct individual, group, family, and group/skills classes. Applicants should have ample experience treating eating, anxiety/OCD, mood, and personality disorders (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder). The position is ideal for applicants with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CBT, exposure-based techniques, and DBT used int he treatment of anxiety, eating, and personality disorders. Applicants would have demonstrated experience being part of an adherent DBT treatment team which includes individual therapy, skills class, phone coaching, and consultation teams. Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology. Please identify your ability to work with child, adolescent, or adult populations. 

Intake Associate

Requirements: Responsible for managing all inquiries regarding services at PBS from initial contact to intake appointment, including collaboration with referral sources. Present information about programming at PBS in a comprehensive and inviting manner. Demonstrate consistent knowledge of potential patients and ability to provide clinical intake assessments resulting in recommendation for appropriate treatment approaches/providers. Be able to document and schedule using electronic medical records. Demonstrate personable and competent telephone communication skills with ability to build rapport resulting in converting inquires to active patients. Attend weekly multidisciplinary team meetings providing up to date information about potential patients. Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor who is the Intake Coordinator. A successful candidate will hold a degree in a mental health field. 

Psychiatrist

Requirements: Provides a full range of psychiatric services to adolescent and adult outpatient behavioral health patients predominately diagnosed with eating and anxiety disorders. Completes initial assessment and evaluation of patients and provides ongoing monitoring of patient's behavioral health/medical condition(s) and provides treatment. Orders prescription medications and diagnostic procedures as needed.  Creates a plan of care tailored to the individual which may include a medication prescription with follow up appointments and/or a referral to one of our mental health or dietary staff/programs. Responsible to provide psychiatric services as required and within the standards of professional psychiatric and medical care. Provides clinical consultation to multidisciplinary team. Responsible to attend multidisciplinary meeting with staff. Psychiatrist will report to the Clinical Director. Completion of an appropriate residency program required. Completion of Medical Doctorate required. Must hold current, active license to practice medicine in Virginia.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Requirements: Postdoctoral Fellows will conduct individual, group, family, and group/skills classes. Applicants should have ample experience treating eating, anxiety/OCD, mood, and personality disorders (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder). The position is ideal for applicants with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CBT, exposure-based techniques, and DBT used int he treatment of anxiety, eating, and personality disorders. Applicants would have demonstrated experience being part of an adherent DBT treatment team which includes individual therapy, skills class, phone coaching, and consultation teams. Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology. Please identify your ability to work with pediatric, child, adolescent, or adult populations. 

Director of Research
Requirements: Ph.D. from a program in applied research, clinical or counseling psychology. Applicants should have an active research program in eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, and/or anxiety disorders/OCD.  Please include representative reprints of research with your application.  Please also detail your experience in successfully securing grant funding.

Practicum/Externship
Requirements: Graduate Students, Postdoc, or Residents interested in completing clinical and research experiences on a yearly or multi-year basis. Students should be from an APA-accredited program in psychology or medical school.
